Yahoo Introduces Its Redesigned Homepage




Yahoo has launched its revamped homepage in India, presenting a new, more modern and advanced design. The new-designed homepage has been launched in Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Singapore and Philippines, while it has been live in the US homepage which was revamped over a year ago.


It has been implementing several changes so that it can become a part of a user's daily habits, features a cleaner look, easy to use and gives you access to better personalization feature. The new design also features infinite scrolling and can keep scrolling for more stories will be loaded as the web page never ends.

The page is based on a users’ surfing behavior and also incorporates a column of widgets for weather, stocks, Flickr images and horoscopes, the widgets can be customized or turned off. It also has a section that displays upcoming birthday from their Facebook account, if he/she connects to Facebook account.

The homepage also has new utility apps including Yahoo, Weather, Finance and Flickr, that can be tailored according to user preference and offers flawless experience across platforms and devices.

Yahoo reportedly has 800 million users worldwide out of which half are mobile Internet users. In India, there are 30 million monthly users, approximately. IM Swaminathan, Director, Media Product and Business Operations, India & South East Asia, Yahoo, said “In India, the growth is happening mainly from tablets and mobile phone segments. Mobile users on Yahoo! network are increasing annually at 25 per cent and the company has 15 million such users of Yahoo! Homepage.”
