Brainguru Technologies Celebrate World Water Day

World
Water Day is celebrated every year on 22nd March around the world to
get the attention to the need of preserving safe drinking water and
also to create solutions to provide fresh water to people around the
world.

Water
is an essential part of our lives. Our people and the environment
need water to flourish but the global warming and climate change have
a debilitating impact on the existing water resources that threaten
our existence. It is affecting life of millions of people throughout
the world by causing erratic and disturbing weather systems,
glaciers, the natural reservoirs of the Earth, to melt, resulting in
incessant flooding, droughts and other natural disasters of varied
proportions. The water is getting limited every year because of these
issues.

Conservation
will help us stretch the water that we do have and for that rainwater
harvesting is one of the practice which can help us preserve the
fresh water. Our planet is covered with more than 70 percent of water
and only a small percentage of the fresh water fit for drinking and
that it is a number that is fast shrinking.

In
the opinion of World Bank Report, the altitude of water in India was
around 550 Cubic Kilometres in the year 1997 out of which surface
water was around 310 Cubic Kilometres. The altitude has dropped to
480 Cubic Kilometres in 2010 and is further going to lessen to 360
Cubic Kilometres in 2020 and less than 100 Cubic Kilometres in 2050.

Rajesh
Sharma, Chairman & MD, ION Exchange India Limited, says, “Of
paramount importance is a holistic plan to manage our water resources
sustainably, with equal weightage to augmentation of fresh water
resource and conservation of water. Watershed development and
rainwater harvesting will increase seepage and storage of fresh water
while recycle of water will conserve vast volumes of fresh water and
reduce pollution. This must be combined with development of
water-efficient techniques and processes that also reduce use of
resources like energy, and thus the load on the environment.
Companies should endeavor to introduce state-of-the-art technologies
for water and environment management, to conserve our precious water
resource by pioneering the concept of water recycle and to promote
the use of alternate sources of water supply such as sea water and
sewage. Water is not only a vital natural resource but a national
economic resource, too. We need to manage it responsibly to ensure
its availability and protection for future generations.”

Whereas
Pankaj Jain, Secretary, Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation
concludes, “Clean drinking water is an essential requirement of
every individual and making it available to every person is the very
essence of our work. The World Water Day is an occasion to remind
ourselves of how humble we are when faced with any water crisis. On
this day, let each one of us resolve to make on small yet positive
change in our lifestyle towards the cause of water conservation so
that our future generations may continue to enjoy this gift of
nature.”

On
this day of World Water Day, Brainguru Technologies pledge to save
water by practicing water management to observe it every day. We will
create ways to consume and manage fresh water, to improve water
accessibility and will spread awareness about the importance of
saving water.
