WhatsApp co-founder and CEO Jan Koum joined hands with Facebook’s board of directors as part of $19 billion deal. They assures that WhatsApp will complement the existing chat and messaging services to provide new tools for our community. As Facebook Messenger is broadly used for chatting with your Facebook friends, and WhatsApp for chatting with all of your contacts and groups of people, so that’s why they have served such different and important uses to continue investing in both and making them each great products for everyone.
Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Facebook said, “WhatsApp is on a path to connect 1 billion people. The services that reach that milestone are all incredibly valuable. Also added, “WhatsApp will complement our existing chat and messaging services to provide new tools for our community.”
