Reliance Jio will charge customers from April 1

The Chairman and MD of Reliance Industries, Mukesh Ambani announced new plans of Reliance Jio on February 21, 2017. In his press conference he announced that from April 1, Jio will start offering its tariff plans, all domestic voice calls will always remain free and there will be no roaming charges on them. According to him, since its launch in 5th September 2016, Jio users have consumed over 100 crores GB data.
He also announces the new Jio Prime Membership for Existing Users. According to that, those who have to join Jio before March 31, 2017, can subscribe to one year plan of Rs 99. Prime members can also subscribe to Jio New Year offer for 12 months, that will charge for a price of Rs 303/month up to March 31, 2018. More value plans will be announced for Jio Prime members soon and details will be on My Jio app, Ambani said.
Mukesh Ambani said that Reliance Jio will more than double its network in coming months and by end of 2017. He also said that Jio network will cover 99% of India’s population by being in every town and village of India.
“Nearly 7 customers per second over last 170 days,” says Mukesh Ambani, a miraculous level of acceptance for any company anywhere in the world, he says.
“Jio customers make 200 Crores minutes of voice and data calls every single day. Jio users consumed more than 100 Crores GB of data in January and more than 3.3 Crores GB of data in a day,” claims Mukesh Ambani.
“Jio has risen to these heights only because of spirit and the affection of the 100 million customers, Ambani said, adding that Jio users consume as much as the United States of America and nearly 50 percent of China’s users.
