Google Image Search Head Randy Keller engaged with Pinterest!

In its initial time, Pinterest was called as Photo sharing or Scrapbooking site. The CEO Silbermann has called it a “catalog of ideas.” Now it is becoming as an Image Search engine. Officially the company has announced the hiring Randy Keller, who was the Senior Google Image Search engineer.  

Keller has worked with Google for almost a decade and he was the part of the Google Image Search quality team. He was liable for incorporating machine learning and computer vision signals into Google Image Search ranking. 

Keller said about joining Pinterest, “Pinterest is the most exciting opportunity in visual discovery today, and I look forward to contributing my expertise in image search quality and ranking to the team responsible for helping millions of people discovery billions of ideas every day. Pinterest’s unprecedented data set presents new opportunities to build the next generation of search that’s personalized to each person on Pinterest.”
