Microsoft
is preparing to replace the departing CEO, Ballmer to its Cloud
Computing Head, Satya Nadella and wants him to step in as the
company's new CEO after a months-long search, as he has a strong
technical background and is familiar with the structure of the
company.
Nadella
is 47 years old and is a born in Hyderabad, India. He studied
Electronics and Communication Engineering in India before he
eventually moved to the states to study computer science at Manipal
University, Business Administration from the University of Chicago
and Master's Degree in Computer Science from the University of
Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
He
started his career at Internet software pioneer Sun Microsystems and
in the year 1992 he joined Microsoft and is credited for launching
BizTalk. He has spent over 20 years at the company in myriad roles
and has climbed the stairs of success with his leading roles in the
Office and Bing search engine teams. He is also complimented for his
job in moderating growth in the company's cloud computing and Bing
search engine business.
Have
also heard that if Gates is to go, as PC Wrold suggested last year
then the Board member of Microsoft has suggested John Thompson to
take on the Chairman role.
